Project process

Experiments at IBK follow a project process. To start a project here are the first steps:
1) Propose Project on Sharepoint site
2) Make sure that all experimental working persons in the project participated in the “introduction to experimental research @ IBK” course.
3) Organize a Kickoff-meeting

HPQ – construction site

HPQ construction works are in time. Excavation works are almost finished.

Collaboration IBK, IBI

IBK will collaborate with IBI (mainly group de Wolf). This includes the support in experiments in the IBK experimental area.

New Equipment

• Hexapod (Chatzi): Construction project waiting for confirmation from D-PHYS (HPQ building).
  New measurement campaign will be started in April 2025. An expertise will be worked out by Ziegler Consultants.
• Vibrophore (Taras) – location in Bauhalle guaranteed inside IfU area
• 15MN machine (Taras)
• NCCR demonstrator was approved by Schulleitung. It wil be a rooftop of about 13x6m inside the courtyard of HIF. IBK will use it for outside tasks and storage.
• 5MN loadcells – 3x 6axis loadcells will be procured by the chairs of Stojadinovic and Vassiliou
• Schenck Service & upgrade
  the Schenck machines should have a service and there is a defect on the large machines column sealing. A quotation is available (about CHF 140k, including new electronics).
• Fork Lift 5t
  IBK owns the Linde 5t forklift, which is about 25 years old. Quotations are in house for a replacement. The purchase decision should be made based on the “experimental research @ D-BAUG” decision which is discussed in Zukunftskommission.
