Information

Coronavirus emergency mode

Experimental research is possible following the ETH master plan:

All personal tasks in Bauhalle and IBK labs MUST BE scheduled by Friday of the privious week in the available Bauhallen outlook calendar!
Unplanned tasks will not be supported.

Situation in Bauhalle was very stressful in the last weeks. There was a lot of noise from deconstruction work and dust exposure cause of demolishion works nearby Bauhalle. According to construction project management this should have been the peak of influences to Bauhalle. Project management will try to send information for future demolishion tasks.

Experimental projects can be influences in the folloing points:

  • Noise (Health, Concentration, detection of experimental events..)
  • Vibration (measurement accuracy, Stability)
  • Dust (measurement accuracy, Health, equipment functionality)

Beside that we had multiple building service failures which were not communicated:

  • electicity
  • cooling system
  • compressed air

Pay attention to this if you want to perform tests.

Scheduled events:

Announcement of student projects

Pay attention to the new regulation that
Student projects must be proposed until July 1 for the Fall Semester and January 1 for the Spring Semester. Late registrations will not be accepted.
PROPOSE NEW PROJECT

Order & clienliness in Bauhalle

Because of the limited space in Bauhalle also order & clienliness suffer from this effect. Bauhallenteam is planning a cleaning period in the last week of May. Please make sure to label your material – or better, label and clean it up.

Procurement

  • Hexapod (Chatzi), decision made – MTS, will be delivered in July 2021
    Release with conditions was granted by Schulleitung for 2021.
  • Small fire furnace (Frangi) , decision made – E-TERM
    Project is granted by Schulleitung.
  • 1D laser scanner vibrometer (Chatzi)
  • Vibrophore (Taras)
  • Hexapod (Taras) (second priority)
  • 15MN machine (Taras) (first priority)
  • Replacement of Walter&Bai testing machine (IfB, IBK) – OK from IBK – IfB still pending
