General Information
GeP
All electrical equipment at ETH Zurich must be tested for safety periodically and after repairs. Professors and other heads of organisational units are responsible to ensure that testing is carried out and the equipment is safe.

The experimental area of IBK will be tested on 19./20. November 2024.
All devices plug-connected to 230V or 400V mains must be unplugged and checked shortly (ca. 5min). Contact Bauhallenteam in case of problems.
Power cut in HIF
We have been informed about a short power cut in the HIF building on Wednesday, 18-December-2024, for 30 minutes (08:00-08:30 h). Should you foresee any problems with this short power cut, we kindly ask you to contact Bauhallenteam or the Unit E+S (Engineering & Systems; Mr Reto Hassler-Pause) as soon as possible.
HPQ – construction site
HPQ construction works do influence the nothern part of HIF.

PPE – personal protective equipment
The employer provides personal protective equipment (PPE) whenever required for an activity at a study or workplace. The use of PPE is mandatory and an important element of preventive healthcare.
PPE includes:
- Gas masks and particle filter masks
- Gloves
- Head protection
- Hearing protection
- Protective clothing
- Protective footwear¦ “Schuhbus”
- Rope fastening
- Safety goggles

- HBK data acquisition devices (HBM QuantumX)
- Hexapod (Chatzi): Construction project for foundation of Hexapod in nothern part of Bauhalle.
- Vibrophore (Taras) – location in Bauhalle guaranteed inside IfU area
- 15MN machine (Taras)
- outdoor cleaning area beside gate 27 (for casting tasks, sedimentation tank) –
New GMIS proposal will be placed with location behind Bauhalle – perhaps combined with a demonstrator building of NCCR - HEZ – tent for preparation of specimen – Abteilung Bauten confirmed, IBK will get quotes
