HPQ – construction site
HPQ construction works do influence the nothern part of HIF.

Hexapod (group Chatzi)
Finally we got the confirmation for starting the construction for the Hexapod foundation from Schulleitung. The construction phase will probably start mid of 2025.
The final location for the Shaketable is in the nothern part of Bauhalle where the INOVA hydraulic aggregates is located today.
Fire Simulator
An update to the loading frame was designed and installed for the next tests. This design can be used for pulling and pushing tests in the future.
Also the hydraulic setup was changed from tubes to pipes. The advantage is also to have the hydraulic pump inside the control room and no longer in the firelab itself.
Covered storage space in courtyard
Prof. Kaufmann with NCCR is working on a project to build a demonstrator inside the HIF couryard. A GMIS-application was entered. When realized it can also serve as a covered storage space for Bauhalle.
SAFETY
New GSR-System
ETH SGU introduced a new GSR-System (Group Safety Representatives) to make the safety processes inside ETH more conform.
This is the reason why REF (resort experimental research in IBK) had to update the safety concept.

Chainsaw course
Bauhallenteam participated in a chainsaw course. This is required to work with chainsaws in industry environments (see SUVA). If you have to use chainsaws in your project contact Bauhallenteam for support.
An alternative is the reciprocating saw which can be used after an introduction from Bauhallenteam by yourself.
New Equipment
- HBK data acquisition devices (HBM QuantumX)
- Hexapod (Chatzi): Construction project for foundation of Hexapod in nothern part of Bauhalle.
- Vibrophore (Taras) – location in Bauhalle guaranteed inside IfU area
- 15MN machine (Taras)
- outdoor cleaning area beside gate 27 (for casting tasks, sedimentation tank) –
New GMIS proposal will be placed with location behind Bauhalle – perhaps combined with a demonstrator building of NCCR - HEZ – tent for preparation of specimen – construction profject started in Abteilung Bauten
