Deadline is 1st July 2024 to apply for experimental student projects for the autumn semester.
New Sharepoint Site!!
From now on Bauhalle will use this new Site

to track projects and collect information about experimental research at IBK.
The old page can still be accessed and will not be deleted till 2025.

HPQ – construction site

HPQ construction works do influence the nothern part of HIF.
Also vibrations may occur which could influence the experiments in Bauhalle.

thefts in Bauhalle

On Tuesday 23rd of April we had thefts in Bauhalle.
Computer equipment was stolen. Please pay attention to all equipment and try to keep expensive material in a save location if it can not be supervised.

Resource bottleneck

Due to absences in April and May there will be limited support. Serious planning of projects and tasks is necessary. Contact Bauhallenteam as early as possible.

Walter&Bai testing machine

The new W&B testing machine (5MN, 300kN) machine is delivered and in the process of commissioning. The system should be usable in June and can be booked with Outlook like other machines.

SAFETY

new GSV concept

The coming GSV-System for IBK labs according to EKAS ASA guidelines will be documented in the ISO 9001-2015 management structure (compare EKAS-ISO).
Submission date is May 9th but the IBK concept will not be ready till then. Some information can already be found here: expRES@IBK

• HBK data acquisition devices (HBM QuantumX)
• Hexapod (Chatzi): Construction project for foundation of Hexapod in nothern part of Bauhalle.
• Vibrophore (Taras) – location in Bauhalle guaranteed inside IfU area
• 15MN machine (Taras)
• outdoor cleaning area beside gate 27 (for casting tasks, sedimentation tank) – GMIS proposal entered – DECLINED (location was wrong – Portfolio should give new location)
  New GMIS proposal will be placed with location behind Bauhalle
• HEZ – tent for preparation of specimen
