All personal tasks in Bauhalle and IBK labs must still be scheduled in the available Bauhallen outlook calendar!


HIF (+) restoration

From December 12th till christmas holiday the Bauhallenteam will be very busy with emtying the labs C36 and C36. In these days there will only be a minimum support for experiments!
In addition the the first weeks of January will also be heavily occupy the whole Bauhallenteam.

According to a school management decision, no university activities need to be taken into account for construction site work.
Bauhalle is already affected by multiple construction works. If experiments can be influenced contact Bauhallenteam as early as possible to discuss possibilities with the construction management.

Ongoing work

  • week 49-51: high shelf construction
  • week 42-50: closing of floor opening
  • week 51-52: clearing of IBK sidelabs
  • week 1-3: moving the workshop, clearing side labs
  • week 1..?..10 installation centrifuge

Cutting room: IfB will use the cutting room (HIF B54) as an alternative concrete from from Feb. 2021..Feb. 2022. Therefore the big cutting machine must be removed.

Inventory Database

IBK inventory database (http://baug.inventory.ethz.ch) can finally used with your ETH credentials.

Power Interrupt, January 5th

On 05.01.2021 the power shutdown at HIF will take place for the reconstruction of the low voltage and medium voltage system. According to the reconstruction programs, the power will be switched off at 08:00 am in the morning and will be available again at 5:00 pm at the latest.

Timeseries database & Monitoring sites

Bauhalle is working on a data server based on an InfluxDB timesieries database. Especially for monitoring projects the server should simplify setting up user interfaces like:

Also the framework used for the IBK monitoring site, based on WordPress, will be simplified and documented.

Bauhallen-Screen

Some of you probably already discovered the big screen entering Bauhalle.
It is used to show ongoing tasks in Bauhalle and also present projects made in Bauhalle. We would welcome to get your inputs. Please contact Martin for information.
