Polybox Cloud Storage
Please use Polybox instead of Dropbox whenever possible.
The advantages of Polybox are:
- Polybox is a service of ETH Zurich
- Data is stored at ETH Zurich
- Every user has 50 GB of storage space (more is possible upon request)
Polybox is installed on all our Mac and Linux clients. The Linux version is called OwnCloud.
You can download Polybox for your private computer or mobile phone from the Polybox website:
If you are an assistant and want to use Dropbox for your research data then please talk first to your supervisor. Please note that your data also has to be stored on ETH storage.
Problems
- If the OwnCloud client for linux do not synchronize anymore, execute following commands and start OwnCloud again:
pkill owncloud rm -f ~/.local/share/data/ownCloud/owncloud.cfg.lock
