The only species of the subgenus Rhopaloheriades Griswold & Michener is confined to the Palaearctic region.

1928 Heriades syriaca Benoist, Bulletin du Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle Paris, 34: 335. Type material: Holotype f, “Ksana” [Syria], MNHN (Paris).-Synonymy with Heriades (Michenerella) punctulifera Schletterer, 1899 in Zanden (1995: 429), rejected by A. Müller (unpublished). New synonymy (A. Müller, unpublished).
