ETH Zurich currently has more than 180 trainees covering 15 different vocations. All trainees enjoy a practical programme in which they receive individual support and professional guidance. The way in which they are trained at ETH Zurich has changed continuously over many years. The various apprenticeships also include application development IT technicians with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) and platform development IT technicians with an EFZ. A look at the past shows how IT vocational training at ETH Zurich has changed. But what exactly did this training programme look like in the beginning?

Graduation in two years: The Way-up pilot has been designed in close collaboration with the IT Training Lab and the ISG D-PHYS and D-ITET and will be offered at ETH from August 2023 in the computer science apprenticeship as the first profession in the specialisation of platform development.

The programme for the Informatiktage, which will take place from Monday 12 to Friday 16 April 2021, has now been published. This year the offer is aimed at kindergarten classes, primary schools, secondary school levels 1 and 2, and teachers. Numerous courses for teachers provide content that they can teach to their classes themselves using the materials provided after the course.
