ISO recertification successfully completed
ETH Zurich’s IT Services are certified according to ISO/IEC 20000-1 and ISO/IEC 27001. This year (2024), ITS passed the recertification process again, and the validity of the two certificates was extended until 2027.
The ISO certificate has been issued and is already published on the ITS website.
ITS was the first university IT department in Switzerland to be certified in 2009 and became the first service organisation at a Swiss university to have ISO-certified management systems in 2012.
- ISO/IEC 20000-1 is an internationally recognised standard for IT service management in which the requirements for a professional IT service management system are documented.
- The ISO/IEC 27001 standard formulates the requirements for the information security management system, which goes far beyond pure IT security.
