ETH Web Relaunch on the home straight

Web Relaunch release 2016.2 now live.

The migration to AEM 6.1 (formerly CQ5) had already been successfully completed with the WCMS release during mid-April. In addition to numerous technical updates, which the product itself provides, we have also been able to increase performance with the introduction of Varnish as a caching solution.

A big thank you to Cristian Tuduce and Dieter Hennig for setting up the new infrastructure.

Thanks to shorter release cycles, we have also been able to roll out two functional releases since then. These provide numerous small but useful improvements, which means they are important milestones on our road towards ensuring smooth operation, even after the conclusion of the project in September. Until then, work will continue unabated, so that we can look forward to the final release within the scope of the Web Relaunch project soon.
