Technical hurdles regarding digital interfaces in auditoriums and seminar rooms at ETH Zurich.
In our recent post “Analogue Sunset” (German version) we have already presented our strategy for dealing with digital interfaces in auditoriums and seminar rooms at ETH Zurich. In this post we wish to acquaint our readership with one of the technical hurdles that we face in this area. This concerns EDID (Extended Display Identification Data), which is far more crucial for modern digital HDMI interfaces than it is in an analogue environment. In fact, the former is indispensable for smooth function of computer to projector connection.
