Single sign-on at ETH

A workshop on the topics of single sign-on, AAI and application integration was recently held with representatives of the Library, Rectorate, ITS-Academic Management Applications (BI) division, LET and ETHis. Since the SWITCH infrastructure AAI is apparently being widely used at ETH, ITS-Acad.Mgmt Ap. accordingly decided that implementation stages in 2011 and 2012 will focus on development of educational applications coordinated with development of the new nethz Admin application.

Single sign-on from Wikipedia

Single sign-on (SSO) is a property of access control of multiple related, but independent software systems. With this property a user logs in once and gains access to all systems without being prompted to log in again at each of them.
