«Project Neptun» turns into ETH Zurich spin-off
At the end of August, the laptop program «Project Neptun» will be transferred to the ETH spin-off «Stonepine Labs GmbH». The spin-off will organize promotion sales in the future. Neptun customers will not be facing many changes: Promotions will be held under the name «Project Neptun». Stonepine Labs will continue to perform regular in-depth evaluations of laptop manufacturers and their products.
Currently, order process and services remain mostly unchanged and discount rates offered will match or even surpass previous discounts.
The new, higher-quality laptop sleeves will be sold at manufacturing cost. There are plans to cautiously expand the range of available products e.g. by adding monitors or tablet PCs.
Next week, the spin-off will move into its new office at Sonneggstrasse 28 (SOI building). In addition, the new website will be launched at the beginning of September: http://www.projektneptun.ch/
The next sales window will be open from September 5 through October 2 2011.
Offers this fall comprise laptops by Apple, HP and Lenovo and most likely NEC displays.
