The residential and office building White Corner, built at the beginning of the 20th century, was the home of the Mulco watch factory. Its characteristic corner shape is given by the railway, which breaks up the unique grid of La Chaux-de-Fonds. White Corner was the first building in the watchmaking region to feature the Hennebique system, which physically unifies solid architecture and the adaptability of a system.
With our design, we highlight this fascinating system, and stay true to it, creating a truly changing space through time, celebrating the potential of the given structure.
