- Zoom Meeting room: https://ethz.zoom.us/j/577441230

In the wake of remote teaching, have you discovered new practices that you intend to keep using? Have you discarded long-held habits or identified priorities that were not previous visible to you? Come discuss with other EPF teachers about how to leverage the perspectives created by the upheaval of normal teaching as we move forward.
Dr. Cécile Hébert, associate professor in Materials Science at EPFL and president of Conférence du corps enseignant, will present the results of a survey of EPFL teachers about their experience with remote emergency teaching.
Dr. Auke Ijspeert, full professor at the EPFL and head of the Biorobotics Laboratory, will share his reflections on a hybrid video & live format for his master courses “Computational Motor Control” and “Analysis and Modeling of Locomotion” for next year.
Dr. Andreas Steiger, lecturer at the Department of Mathematics at ETH Zürich, describes his findings from changing from lecture halls to live Zoom lectures in a large first year class and how the positive effects might be brought back to the lecture hall.
Dr. Bernhard Wehrli is a professor of Aquatic Chemistry and study director at D-USYS (ETH). He will discuss a positive experience with sharing recorded student presentations in advance to intensify on-line conversations.
