Scaling up: Dealing with increasing numbers of students
As student numbers are continuously growing, teachers face the challenge of how to manage classes with many participants. How can a lecture or a class with a high number of students be organised to make sure that the learning objectives are still met, that students still feel involved and have opportunities to interact with the lecturer and/or their peers? How can the quality of teaching be maintained or maybe even improved? In this Refresh Teaching event we present insights how teachers at the ETH confronted with a sudden or slow increase of student numbers have adapted to this change.
