It is also important that student send questions about the exam to the forum (e.g. moodle).

I like Jean-Philippe’s example of a video of about the exam – we tend to give richer detail verbally
Von Regula Cinelli an Alle: (12:37 PM)
ETHZ Student Services offer Workshops on Planning your learning phase, led by older students – the courses are fully booked, and especially this year (courses executed via zoom) the feedback is, that the interaction between the Peers is highly appreciated. https://ethz.ch/studierende/de/beratung/studienberatung/infothek.html

Maybe the Departments can also support the student’s associations in setting up possibilities for interaction regarding learning
Von Medea Fux an Alle: (12:41 PM)
another alternative or additional idea would be to use a question forum in
Von Medea Fux an Alle: (12:42 PM)
online, so that the questions can be handed in in written form and also at all times, so when I’m solving an exercise and I have a question I can just post it and after that peers and TA can answer them. this is also useful for students who don’t ask questions-.
Von Cecile Hardebolle an Alle: (12:51 PM)
Video recordings of solving exam type exercises by teacher or assistant might be very useful for students
Von Siara Isaac, EPFL an Alle: (12:52 PM)
it sounds like planning to use Kahoot /clickers is a good idea for summer Q&A too -> to help students get feedback on what they have learned, how well their studying is going and also to have a clearer idea of the questions they need to ask
Von Meike Akveld an Alle: (1:00 PM)
Nice idea to post video solutions of old exams!
Von firstname.lastname@example.org an Alle: (1:01 PM)
I agree with Simone that a crucial issue for students might be how to deal with the amount of ressources, expecially for first year students
Von Medea Fux an Alle: (1:02 PM)
it would also be an option to create a short explanation video if a question is raised several times
Von Kamiar Aminian an Alle: (1:04 PM)
I put on moodle a Mock test and ask student sto do it during a limited time as is the case during real exam. I record the correction of mock test and also put the solution on moodle and ask student to correct their own sheet and give me back (anonymously) the score.
Von Siara Isaac, EPFL an Alle: (1:08 PM)
Very interesting tension between the advantages and disadvantages of recording the high threshold for asking questions is an important issue, and raising it further deserves attention
