Moving from teaching to learning: Teachers share their stories
Beginning to teach in higher education is often influenced by our own experiences being taught – or by our predecessor’s slides. Developing a teaching approach which is effective in terms of student learning and fits our own personality may take several years. Our presenters share stories of their personal development and discuss turning points in their teaching careers which were influential on their view of teaching today.
- Prof. Dr. Margarita Chli – Head of the Vision for Robotics Lab
- Prof. Dr. Günther Dissertori – Head of Inst. Particle Physics and Astrophysics
- PD Dr. Dr. Norman Sieroka – Critical Thinking ETH/ Managing Director Turing Center ETH Zürich
After the panel discussion with our guests, participants will have the opportunity to reflect upon their own teaching in group discussions with other participants. We will gather some representative views from the audience. These can be further discussed over lunch.
