Group assessment: How can we untie the Gordian knot?
Collaboration and group work are important success factors in professional pursuits both inside and outside academia. They have been part of higher education for years. But how can we assess collaboration and group work – in a meaningful, fair and reliable way – in the context of an educational system that requires the certification of individuals, not teams? In this Refresh Teaching event, presenters from ETH who have attempted to untie this Gordian knot will share their experiences with you.
- Dr. Christian Erik Pohl, Transdisciplinarity Lab/TdLab, D-USYS
- PD Dr. Heinrich Nax, Computational Social Sciences/COSS, D-GESS
The presenters will share their approaches to group assessment. You will have the opportunity to discuss with them and to share your own reflections on and experience with assessing the results of group work.
