Le Divelec discovered in the Mus\u00e9um National d&#8217;Histoire Naturelle de Paris the male holotype of <em>Protosmia<\/em> (<em>Protosmia<\/em>) <em>monstrosa<\/em> (P\u00e9rez, 1895), which was assumed to be lost. The male clearly belongs to <em>P<\/em>. (<em>Protosmia<\/em>) <em>tiflensis<\/em> (Morawitz, 1875). Thus, <em>P. monstrosa<\/em> is a junior synonym of <em>P. tiflensis<\/em> and not identical with <em>P<\/em>. (<em>Protosmia<\/em>) <em>mirabilis<\/em> (Friese, 1899) as assumed by Alfken (1935b).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">After examination of the types, the two following synonymies suspected by Branstetter et al. (2021) are confirmed: i) <em>Osmia (Osmia) yanbianense<\/em> Wu, 2004 is a junior synonym of <em>O<\/em>. (<em>Osmia<\/em>) <em>opima<\/em> Romankova, 1985 and ii) <em>Osmia (Osmia) rufinoides<\/em> Wu, 2004 is a junior synonym of <em>O<\/em>. (<em>Osmia<\/em>)<em> rufina<\/em> Cockerell, 1931. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>R.
