M\u00fcller, unpublished).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Hoplitis acuticornis penelope<\/em> (Warncke, 1991) is the so far unknown male of <em>Hoplitis nigrocolor<\/em> (Zanden, 1991) based on recently collected material in Tunisia (A. M\u00fcller, unpublished). Thus, it is newly treated as a synonym of <em>H. nigrocolor<\/em>. The synonymization of <em>Hoplitis acuticornis penelope<\/em> with <em>Hoplitis camelina<\/em> (Benoist, 1934) by Zanden (1996b) is erroneous.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Hoplitis brevifurca <\/em>(Benoist, 1934)<em> <\/em>is the so far unknown male of <em>Hoplitis sinuata <\/em>(P\u00e9rez, 1895)<em> <\/em>based on recently collected material in Morocco (A. M\u00fcller, unpublished). Thus, <em>H. brevifurc<\/em>a is a junior synonym of <em>H. s<\/em><em>inuata.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Osmia frunseensis<\/em> Warncke, 1992 is junior synonym of <em>Osmia carinoclypearis <\/em>Wu, 1985 based on the original descriptions and recently collected material (A. M\u00fcller, unpublished).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Osmia atroalba<\/em> Morawitz, 1875 is junior synonym of <em>Osmia fasciata<\/em> Latreille, 1811 based on type specimens and original description (A. M\u00fcller, unpublished).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Osmia prasina<\/em> Morawitz, 1875 is a valid species based on type material and original description (A. M\u00fcller, unpublished); its synonymization with <em>Osmia sogdiana<\/em> Morawitz, 1875 by Warncke (1988a. 23) is erroneous.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Chelostoma palaeastinum<\/em> (Benoist, 1935) is a junior synonym of <em>Chelostoma schlettereri<\/em> (Friese, 1899) based on comparison of type specimens (A. M\u00fcller, unpublished).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Chelostoma subnitidum<\/em> (Benoist, 1935) is a junior synonym of <em>Chelostoma ventrale<\/em> Schletterer, 1889 based on comparison of type specimens (A.
