(Clement and Rust, 1975; Frey-Gessner, 1880; M\u00fcller and Mauss, 2016; M\u00fcller and Richter, 2018)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;text-align: left\"><strong>Flower preferences:<\/strong> Polylectic with a strong preference for <em>Potentilla<\/em> (Rosaceae), e.g. <em>P. erecta<\/em>; additional pollen sources include <em>Rubus<\/em> (Rosaceae), <em>Helianthemum<\/em> (Cistaceae), Fabaceae (<em>Medicago<\/em>, <em>Lotus<\/em>), Cichorioideae (Asteraceae) and <em>Ranunculus <\/em>(Ranunculaceae). <em>H. robusta<\/em> is one of the few bee species known to collect floral resources and nest building material from the very same plant, i.e. <em>Potentilla<\/em> (M\u00fcller and Mauss, 2016; M\u00fcller and Richter, 2018).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The subgenus Formicapis Sladen contains 4 species, 1 of which occurs both in the Palaearctic and the Nearctic region.
