Advance Notice: Kosmospolitics – Sex in Brain: Nature or Culture
Women are gifted in multitasking, men have a good spatial orientation – and that is, as many say, because of their brains. But is the “female” and the “male” brain really existing? Or, in other words, if we scientifically detect a difference between male and female brains, can one assume that this is solely due to biology? Why these questions are related to big questions of feminism, will be presented and discussed by Anelis Kaiser on February 26 in the Feminist Salon.
Anelis Kaiser is a neuroscientist and gender researcher at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau (DE).
The feminist salon hosts intellectual, provocative, political, fun, radical, affective and thoughtful evenings on queer feminist themes. In the feminist salon there is glitter and filth, softness and hardness, negation and affirmation, anger and care, politics and anti-politics, fiction and utopia, solidarity and criticism, trash and bad taste, intoxication and depression, analysis and poetry. And prosecco and beer. Behind the feminist salon are Franziska Schutzbach, Anelis Kaiser and Yvonne Apiyo Brändle-Amolo.
