Women in Architecture – take the survey
02.11.2017
In August 1975 the magazine AD published an issue on Women in Architecture. It especially presented the result of a survey by the editor, Monica Pidgedon. Shes ent letters out to 100 women architects asking them: what can women contribute that men can’t (and vice versa) and what are the advantages or a disadvantages of being a woman in architecture.
In 2015, 40 years later, the Architectural Association School of Architecture (UK) wanted to know what has changed for women since then and launched a new international survey.
The individual results of the survey and furter information can be found here:
You can still take part of the survey. It should not take more than 10 minutes to answer. There are still not enough women in architecture and your help in responding to this survey will help gain a greater understanding of the issues. Your responses will be taken in total confidence and remain anonymous.
The Netzwerk Frau und SIA has been ask to coordinate the survey in Switzerland. Check out their article. http://frau.sia.ch/grenzenlos
