Stand der Dinge – Annette Gigon

05.10.2017

On Tuesday October 3rd, Annette Gigon gave a conference presenting the work of her office that she founded with Mike Guyer in 1989 in Zurich.

Their projects can be found a bit everywhere in the city of Zurich, In Switzerland and in Europe

Here is a quick overview of the presented projects, representing what she called “der Moment der Wirklichkeit” (the moment of truth) for the architect, the moment where you know if you chose the right scale, the right material.

Prime Tower

Prime Tower, Maag-Areal, Zurich

The highest building in Zurich (136 m) represents well the idea of permeability (duchlässigkeit), a recurring theme in their work.

Burogebaude Haus Lagerstrasse

Office spaces Haus Lagerstrasse, Europaallee 21, Zurich (Project in collaboration with Max Dudler and David Chipperfield)

Fondazione Marguerite Arp

Fondazione Marguerite Arp, Locarno (Ticino)

Kunst Depot Henze Ketterer
