In Polybook instructors can enrich conventional lecture material with\ninteractive elements such as quizzes and videos, and question students on\nparticularly important material. This increases student engagement with the\nmaterial and improves knowledge uptake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/letblog\/files\/2019\/04\/PolyBook.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-856\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/letblog\/files\/2019\/04\/PolyBook.png 1366w, https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/letblog\/files\/2019\/04\/PolyBook-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/letblog\/files\/2019\/04\/PolyBook-600x337.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><figcaption>From Data Collection to finished Excursion Report<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The very name \u201ePolybook\u201c is an\nindication of this tool\u2019s many functions and the large number of books and\nlecture notes which are stored there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using Polybook it is possible to work together on lecture notes or documents and to give them an ordered structure and presentation. Access to individual books is steered via a Moodle link, ensuring that all students in a course have access to its books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Polybook is part of LET\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ethz.ch\/de\/die-eth-zuerich\/lehre\/innovation\/ecollab-tool.html\">eCollab Service<\/a>, and can be used in a number of collaborative scenarios. These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Author and publish texts collaboratively:<\/strong> In Polybook students can author texts from group or project work either alone or collaboratively, and then make them accessible to others. These texts can be augmented with images or interactive elements such as quizzes and videos. Polybook can also be deployed for preparation or wrap-up of lectures and seminars.<\/li><li><strong>Peer review \/ peer assessment:<\/strong> Student or working group texts or projects can be exchanged with other student groups and assessed.
