The IT Services at ETH Zurich are delighted to welcome you to the IT jungle! Here are a few tips for a successful start:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Set up your ETH user account<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Complete the onboarding process<\/a> (approx. 10 minutes) at www.password.ethz.ch<\/a>. This is your key to all other services. And yes, MFA is mandatory \u2013 simply set it up using Google or Microsoft Authenticator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Wi-Fi (eduroam)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Connect to the campus network \u00e2\u20ac\u02dceduroam\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 \u2013 with your ETH network password <ETH username<\/em>>@student-net.ethz.ch<\/strong>. This gives you internet access not only in Zurich, but also at other universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Your ETH email<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Your address is <your-username<\/em>>@student.ethz.ch<\/strong>. Use your ETH password and access it via webmail https:\/\/outlook.office.com<\/a> or the mobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Printing made easy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Top up your prepaid account via the IT Shop<\/a> and use webprint.ethz.ch<\/a> for printing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Computer rooms & polybox<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Access standard computer rooms \u2013 from the city centre to H\u00f6nggerberg. Plus: 50 GB of storage via polybox, the ETH answer to Dropbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
