{"id":3427,"date":"2024-04-09T07:59:46","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T05:59:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpethzprd.ethz.ch\/its\/?p=3427"},"modified":"2024-04-09T07:59:47","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T05:59:47","slug":"the-new-look-of-the-it-shop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/2024\/04\/09\/the-new-look-of-the-it-shop\/","title":{"rendered":"The new look of the IT Shop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The User Portal of the IT Shop brings with it various innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the entire server and middleware infrastructure was renewed in phase 1 of the IT shop upgrade, the new <a href=\"https:\/\/itshop.ethz.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">user portal<\/a> went live on 8 April 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new colour concept is immediately noticeable: the petrol colour scheme of the ETH was chosen. This should also make it clear that the portal is not &#171;new wine in old skins&#187;, but that the skins have of course also been renewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"489\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024-1024x489.jpg\" alt=\"IT Shop User Portal\" class=\"wp-image-3433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024-1024x489.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024-768x367.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024-1536x733.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024-600x286.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.ethz.ch\/its\/files\/2024\/04\/IT_Shop_2024.jpg 1904w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some significant improvements and innovations are<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accessibility aspects: better contrasts and keyboard operability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance: faster loading of the IT service catalogue in particular<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Usability: faster access to the desired request offering through\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the display of the &#171;Recent Offerings&#187; of the logged-in user<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the option of saving the most frequent request offerings as favourites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the ability to complete the same request again while retaining the input<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their valuable support with installation, customisation and valuable feedback on the colour concept.
