Since the WCMS joined ETH the WCMS Developers from ITS SWS have been able to meet this need. However, earlier versions made configuring such publication lists laborious. For example, all of the ETH-Bibliotheks data had to be cached in the WCMS system.

The ETH-Bibliothek’s new Research Collection, on the other hand, provides WCMS developers with a new REST interface, which enables publication lists to be configured with ease. What’s more, the interface renders it unnecessary to cache ETH-Bibliothek data in the WCMS system. The publications listed on WCMS websites are therefore more up-to-date and there are no more errors caused by inconsistent data.

The Research-Collection is a prime example of how successful collaboration among various infrastructure departments at ETH Zurich can both benefit the research and the core competencies of ETH.

Contact

Christian Schär, Group Manager ITS WCMS, LMS & Mobile Applications, ITS Software Services

Research Collection is the new publishing platform for ETH Zurich and comprises the university’s entire research output.

[25
2930,229007
post-1142","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","tag-eth-bibliothek","tag-research-collection
["GET
