This exists if we you are correctly authenticated to the Active Directory:<\/p>\n If you do not want to configure a printer or you have not enough rights to do so, we suggest you to print via “file upload” using following website:<\/p>\n However if you wish a more comfortable printing environment, you should install the printer locally, following the detailed instructions below.<\/p>\n Please note:<\/strong>\u00a0we\u00a0strongly recommend<\/u>\u00a0to use the\u00a0card-hp<\/strong>\u00a0printer queue (and not printing directly to a printer), with the following default settings: black&white, recycled paper and duplex (two sided printing).<\/p>\n This tool installs the necessary drivers and a utility called ‘ETH Printers’ in the Applications –> Utilities folder.<\/p>\n Download and install the software from the ETH IT Services using the following link: Start the program “ETH Printers”.<\/p>\n The next dialog is the printer and building selection dialog. You can either select a “Specific printer” in a building (usually HG) or the generic “Follow me” printer (use card-hp for best results). Click “Install Printer”.<\/p>\n For\u00a0FIM guests<\/strong>: Please use the printer p-hg-hp014 in G 39.1<\/p>\n If you want to print for the first time then you’re asked for a username and password.
