wir laden sie hiermit herzlich zum 12. ETH WWW-Workshop (ETH-W4) vom freitag, 28. november 2008 von 13:00 bis 17:15 uhr im IFW A36 ein.im laufe des workshops pr\u00e4sentieren roberto mazzoni (UZH) und reto amb\u00fchler (ETHZ) ihre eindr\u00fccke von der vergangenen WWW-konferenz in peking. danach stellen wir ihnen die infrastruktur vor, auf welcher zum einen das WCMS, zum anderen das traditionelle webhosting angeboten wird. im bereich des MySql-hostings stehen diverse neuerungen an, auch diese werden wir ihnen pr\u00e4sentieren. dabei werden wir jeweils das umfeld, wie wir es an der ETHZ betreiben, mit dem umfeld der kollegen an der UZH vergleichen.nach der pause werden wir kurz einige situationen ansprechen, welche den missbrauch von websites erm\u00f6glichen und wie sich das verhindern l\u00e4sst.ganz besonders freuen wir uns auf die pr\u00e4sentation von herrn j\u00fcrgen galler von Google zum thema Chrome, dem web-browser von Google.wir freuen uns auf ihr zahlreiches erscheinen. detailierte angaben zum workshop und einen link zum anmeldeformular finden sie unter www.w4.ethz.ch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Invitation to the 12th ETH WWW Workshop<\/p>\n

we are pleased to invite you to the 12th ETH WWW Workshop (ETH-W4). The event takes place on november 28, 2008 from 1 AM to 5:15 AM at IFW A36.<\/p>\n

roberto mazzoni (UZH) and reto amb\u00fchler (ETHZ) will present their review of the 17th WWW conference (WWW2008) which was held in beijing this spring. in addition, there will be presentations of the infrastructure deployed for the so called „traditional webhosting“, for the Web Content Management System (WCMS) and some supplemental services such as MySql DB hosting at the ETH z\u00fcrich as well as at the university of z\u00fcrich. After the break, we will briefly explain how to prevent abuse of websites based on some actual cases. We are especially pleased to announce a talk of j\u00fcrgen galler from Google about Google’s web browser Chrome. We shall be happy to welcome you to this event.
