Ab Montag 15.2.2010 tritt f\u00fcr die Personensuche der ETH Z\u00fcrich<\/strong> die Erneuerung in Kraft, dass aus Gr\u00fcnden des Datenschutzes Studierende nur noch in der Vollversion unter www.person.ethz.ch<\/a> gesucht werden k\u00f6nnen und dass f\u00fcr die Autorisierung einer Suche nach Studierenden ein Login mit dem nethz-Passwort n\u00f6tig ist.<\/p>\n

Auf den Suchformularen der ETH-Hauptseite (www.ethz.ch<\/a> respektive www.ethz.ch\/people\/index<\/a> ) ist die Suche nach Dozierenden und Mitarbeitenden der ETH Z\u00fcrich unter Ausschluss der Studierenden weiterhin m\u00f6glich.<\/p>\n

Wie bereits fr\u00fcher mitgeteilt, gibt www.person.ethz.ch<\/a> auch speziell aufbereitete Inhalte aus, wenn mit mobilen Devices zugegriffen wird. Sollte ein mobiles Device nicht korrekt erkannt werden, kann die spezielle Ausgabe auch mit www.person.ethz.ch\/mobile<\/a> forciert werden. Neu wird ab dem 15.2.2010 auch auf der mobilen Personensuche die Suche nach Studierenden der ETH Z\u00fcrich nicht mehr unterst\u00fctzt.<\/p>\n

Student Data will no longer be delivered on the public ETH People Search<\/strong><\/p>\n


\n<\/strong>On Monday, 15 February 2010, 7:30 AM, a new version of the ETH People Search software will be released. For data privacy protection the people search functions on the ETH-Homepage (\u00abPhonebook\u00bb-searchbox on http:\/\/www.ethz.ch\/index_EN<\/a> and detailed search mask on http:\/\/www.ethz.ch\/people\/index_EN<\/a>) will no longer deliver any student data.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, the data of any person who studies at the ETH, but is not employed or acting as a lecturer, will no longer be found using the search functions mentioned above. This restriction has been introduced in agreement with the managing board of VSETH. For the same reasons, the standalone-Application www.people.ethz.ch<\/a> will deliver data concerning students only to authenticated users. Accordingly, the data of any person who studies at the ETH, but is not employed or acting as a lecturer, will be delivered by this application only after a successful login.<\/p>\n

We have already commented in this blog about the ability of www.people.ethz.ch<\/a> to adapt the format of the output automatically to the screen size of mobile devices. In the event that a the mobile device is not identified correctly, you can try to force the conversion using the following URL: www.people.ethz.ch\/mobile<\/a>.
