We are both doctoral students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) working on computational fluid dynamics simulation. Our goal is to help bring research further faster by providing our codes for free. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Nicolas Antunes Morgado <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicolas obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technological University (UTN) in Buenos Aires in 2014. He worked as a Process Engineer in an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company with clients in the oil and gas industry for 2 years before joining Exxon Mobil Upstream Research Company (EM URC) with the role of Computational Engineer in 2016. In 2019, he moved to Switzerland to start his Master’s in Process Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Z\u00fcrich. His Master’s thesis “Monolith Contactors in Direct
Air Capture: Outlook, Modeling & Simulation” focused on direct air capture (DAC) of CO2 using promising adsorbent support configurations. Nicolas’ research is currently dedicated to modeling and simulation of contactors and process modules for DAC applications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ramona Achermann<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ramona obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich in 2016. She then continued her studies at ETH and graduated in 2018 with a Master’s degree in Chemical-\u200b and Bioengineering. Her Master’s thesis “Optimization of the End-\u200bto-End Synthesis of Doxycycline for On Demand Pharmaceuticals” was conducted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ramona’s doctoral studies are part of the SNICC<\/a> (Studying Secondary Nucleation for the Intensification of Continuous Crystallization) project. She mainly focuses on modeling the hydrodynamics of different reactors using computational fluid dynamics (CFD).\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
