About
Hi and welcome to my ETH blog. I know, it’s just another blog… I use it for documenting stuff that was painful to do or to find out, mostly IT. So it just one more personal knowledge base I can access from everywhere. And if you find it stupid, brainless, or genial and useful, just let me know
is fun!

I read over your blog about the Vista deployment using WDS. I am using WDS to deploy Windows XP. I’ve been successful in doing this for my PXE enabled clients. I’m stuck on deploying an image to non PXE clients. I created a discovery boot image following the procedure listed in the WDS management console help. This CD allows me to boot to a command prompt (X:Windows\System32\). The command prompt just sits there and does nothing else. I am able to capture the OS image using the command wdscapture.exe from the command prompt (X:Windows\System32\wdscapture). What I need to do now is deploy the image to my non PXE clients. All I have is a command prompt though. Is there a command to initiate the image deployment on non PXE clients? Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the great MDT tutorial. Any chance you can do some paid consulting for my firm to help me finish up my MDT setup? I have it mostly done, but I have a few things that are not working and don’t have time to troubleshoot them all.
