Am Mittwochmorgen dem 29. Juli 2009, haben wir einen Teil der zentralen Mailinfrastruktur der Informatikdienste an der ETH Zürich (mail.ethz.ch) erneuert und auf eine neue Soft- und Hardwarebasis gestellt. Die Umstellung erfolgte am 29.7. von 06:30 – 07:30 Uhr und sollte für die allermeisten unter Ihnen unbemerkt und ohne Handlungsbedarf abgelaufen sein. Das heisst, Sie mussten an ihren Maileinstellungen keine Veränderung vornehmen.
Beachten Sie jedoch die folgenden beiden Ausnahmen: Entourage und die Outlook Web Access (OWA) start Seite. Information zu diesen beiden Ausnahmen und weitere nützliche Hinweise finden sie auf der folgenden Seite:

On Wednesday morning, July 29th, 2009, we moved a part of the Informatikdienste’s central mail infrastructure (mail.ethz.ch) to new hardware and software. The transfer took place on July 29th between 06:30 – 07:30 and should not have been noticeable for the majority of users. Most users do not need to make any changes to their mail settings, with the following two exceptions: Entourage and the Outlook Web Access (OWA) start page.
